Dermal Filler Treatment Guide

Skin by Deep Roots offers a wide range of filler treatments to help correct aging in the face, such as lost volume, lines, and wrinkles. One of the most popular brands of dermal filler injections is Restylane because it treats multiple concerns with different formulas for results that are long lasting. Restylane is made with a synthetic version of the body’s natural hyaluronic acid (HA), giving the skin a natural, softer look that is more supple and full. A unique treatment plan can address mild to severe facial lines and wrinkles, as well as add volume to the cheeks and mid-face.

Skin by Deep Roots carries several Restylane dermal fillers, including:

  • Restylane: Fills in facial wrinkles and folds, good to treat under eyes.

  • Restylane Defyne: Has more structure, good for cheeks and chin, can be used in the lips for more volume and definition.

  • Restylane Lyft: Adds volume and lift in the cheeks, also good for jawline enhancement and liquid rhinoplasty.

  • Restylane Contour: The newest filler from Galderma, this filler is great for larger areas with volume loss that don’t need the structure of Lyft. It’s amazing in the apple of the cheeks to restore that youthful, soft ogee curve.

  • Restylane Kysse: Great for the lips.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

Injectable treatments are great for anyone who is looking to rejuvenate their appearance. Since it has different formulas, your procedure will be individualized to suit your needs and goals. Restylane can help you correct visible signs of aging, including fine lines on your face, or if you want to improve the volume in your lips and cheeks. It can also treat moderate or severe wrinkles, like laugh lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and more.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Several formulas are mixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, so you should disclose any known allergies during your consultation with us to avoid a reaction.

To minimize potential bruising, we recommend you not drink alcohol and stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or anything that may thin the blood, one week before treatment. If you take aspirin or a blood thinner for heart related conditions, stopping these medications must be approved by your physician.

We recommend taking Arnica at least three days prior and continue for three days after treatment. Arnica is a homeopathic medicine that may limit the occurrence and duration of bruising.

Plan ahead. Some bruising and swelling can be expected and may take several weeks to completely subside. We recommend scheduling your filler appointment at least two weeks prior to important events.

After the treatment, you are allowed to return to your daily schedule, but strenuous activities, like exercise, should be postponed for at least a day. You should be careful to not touch your face after your treatment to avoid massaging the filler into other areas.

Please note that service pricing is subject to change.
